Hi – I’m Priyanka, and I’m a two-time Core77 award-winning creative director, product designer, engineer, and artist. I work on women’s health and wellbeing at the intersection of design, technology, and art.

I’m the daughter of a scientist and an artist, and I grew up trained in both disciplines. Engineering gave me a foundation and rigor I rely on every day, and art gave my work meaning, beauty, and an edge I couldn’t have found any other way.

My work combines my technical rigor – in computer science, health informatics, and artificial intelligence – with a deep conviction that how something looks and feels is inseparable from whether it works. I design products, services, and experiences that take women seriously: as whole people, not demographics. I work primarily on topics such as reproductive health, sexual health, maternal health, and more.

Over 15 years and across 17 countries, I’ve built and researched and made things – digital products, physical objects, public art, community programs – while always centering the lives of women and girls. Outside of client work, I’m also a ballet dancer and a goldsmith/jeweler. These aren’t just hobbies for me; they’re creative inspiration and how I stay honest about what it means to make something well.

I do most of my work through Samaj Studio, the creative studio I founded for women’s health and wellbeing. This site is where you can find the full arc of my work and thinking.

I also teach at the intersections of design, technology, and social impact, and have served as faculty at Parsons School of Design, Arizona State University, the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, and TechChange.

I can work in English, Marathi, and Spanish, can speak some French, and am conversational in Hindi and Mandarin Chinese.

If you’d like to work together, please send me a note.
