About
Hi – I’m Priyanka, and I’m a US-based creative director, product designer, global health specialist, and artist. I work primarily on women’s health and wellbeing, both internationally as well as at home in the US.
I’m the daughter of a scientist and an artist who, true to my roots, combines creativity and artistry with an engineering background in computer science, health informatics, and artificial intelligence. However, I am also a ballet dancer, jeweler, and painter. All my work combines elements of both the technical and the beautiful.
I started my career in digital health but over the years, my work and scope have expanded into designing both digital and physical products across 17 countries, always centering women’s health. These days, I work on projects that tackle women’s wellbeing holistically, with a focus on empowering communities, emphasizing safety, incorporating art, and maintaining a humanized approach to technology. My design firm, Samaj Studio, is where we do just that.
I also teach courses at the intersections of design, engineering, business, and social impact. I have served as faculty at The Design School at Arizona State University, Parsons School of Design, Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, and at TechChange.
Please send me a note if you’d like to work with me!
